Carolina Xposure Top Performers (Charlotte)

Carolina Xposure has been churning out top prospects for years. Prospects have been discovered at the showcases since 2017 and 2022 is no different here is the list of top performers.

DJ Barksdale 5’10 185 DB South Pointe (SC) 2023

Barksdale was impressive in coverage and very instinctive in the 7v7 portion of the showcase. Barksdale ran 4.4 consistently at other camps and also answered at the showcase posting over 20 mph verified by Catapult. His stock is about to rise throughout this spring. After the showcase, numerous schools have inquired about his performance at the showcase look for DJ Barksdale’s name to be everywhere soon.

JT Smith 6′ 205 ATH Hough HS (NC) 2023

JT completely dominated at RB and WR at the Showcase. He ran sharp routes and showed his explosiveness during 1v1s and 7v7 periods. He also ran over 20 mph verified by catapult sports. Smith has offers from Missouri, Wisconsin, Boston College, and Penn State among others. Immediately after a great performance at the showcase, he picked up new interest from Louisville, Georgia Tech, and Auburn. His stock will increase this spring

Elijah Caldwell 6’2 200 WR Northwestern HS (SC) 2023

Caldwell off the hoof looks like a Junior at Power 5 school right now. Caldwell showed great hands, good body control and also answered the question on top-end speed, running the fastest mph verfied by catapult at 22 mph. Caldwell has offers from Duke, West Virginia, and Utah among others. More schools will offer Caldwell this spring. He is looking to make a decision before the start of his senior year

Hidden Gems that was found:

Justin Long 6’4 275 OL Hickory Ridge (NC) 2023

Long was impressive all day and showed great feet. He is a prospect that schools should take notice of.

Cameron Perfater 6’3 275 OL Greenville (SC) 2023

Perfater also had an impressive day. He is a throw-back Lunch pail type of OL. He simply gets the job done look for his name this season at Greenville HS.

Riley Staton 6’4 190 QB Gray HC (SC) 2024

Staton off the hoof has the frame that you would like at QB. He showed impressive Arm strength and next level accuracy. Staton will be a FBS player in the 2024 class

Xavier McIntrye 6 185 DB Hough HS (NC) 2024

Xavier has great size and showed that he is next in line as the next FBS DB coming out of his high school who just graduated 6 FBS Defensive Backs. McIntrye showed great hips and great ball skills snagging a couple INTs on the day. He will be a prospect that college coaches will be excited to see this spring.

Harrison Jefferies 6’2 190 LB Powdersville HS (SC) 2024

Jefferies showed his coverage ablities and his range at the LB position. Jefferies is explosive his stock is trending upwards!

Ashton Miller 6’3 230 DL Mountain Island HS (NC) 2023

Miller flashes big time upside and has the frame to put more solid weight when he steps foot at a university in 2023. Miller has great hands and has quick first step he is a prospect that will get offers this spring.

Elijah Barber 5’9 160 DB Hough HS (NC) 2025

Barber had a good day in the 1v1 portions and dominated the 7v7 portion of the showcase remember his name!

2026 Prospects Stars Shines

J’Zavien Currence 6’2 165 DB South Pointe (SC) 2026 was arguably the best prospect at the showcase and he is a current 8th grader. Currence is long, athletic, and also posted over 20mph verified by catapult. Currence is a national recruit for the 2026 class and is already on the college’s recruiting boards right now.
